The 2025 Senior Brochure is available now!

We know April and May bring a lot of important events and information for CFHS seniors and their families. Check out the Senior Brochure to stay informed of important dates and information leading up to graduation, as well as expectations for senior activities. 

Cardinal Academy Focus Days:

Mondays and Tuesdays:
  • 9th and 10th grades: math in IXL
  • 11th and 12th grades: ACT Prep in IXL

Wednesdays:

Thursdays and Fridays:
  • 9th and 10th grades: English in IXL
  • 11th and 12th grades: ACT Prep in IXL
 

Announcements:

Our attendance rate improved by 1% last week to 94%! Let's meet our goal of 95% attendance this week. Check your attendance and grades on HAC!

CFHS Track & Field Day Fundraiser is Thursday, April 24. Seniors and Juniors will participate before lunch, and Sophomores and Freshmen will participate after lunch. The cost is $5.

CFHS Library Update: April 30 will be the last day to check out books. Seniors, you are required to have all books turned in by May 2 and all fines paid by May 8. 9th-11th graders, your library books must be turned in by May 9.

Prom Tickets. Tickets for the May 3 Senior/Junior Prom go on sale starting Monday, April 7. Tickets are $25 each. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Merriott before school, between classes, and after school. The deadline to purchase a ticket is Friday, May 2.

Prom Guests. Any junior or senior planning to bring a guest to prom who is not a current CFHS student must complete an outside guest form and receive approval before purchasing a ticket for the guest. Forms are available in the front office and from Mrs. Merriott. Completed forms should be returned to Mrs. Merriott.

CFHS Hosting National Honor Society Induction is Thursday, April 24:

The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony for new inductees is Thursday, April 24, during 5th Period (12:08 PM - 12:51 PM) in the Little Theater. Inductees are encouraged to attend the induction ceremony on April 24 with their guests.

2025 Tennis Tryout Info:

Tennis tryouts for grades 9 -12 will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at the Camden Fairview Middle School tennis courts.

Students must have:
  • Tennis racket
  • Water
  • Appropriate athletic attire
  • Current physical

Cardinal Athletics:

We're celebrating Senior Night this week for Lady Cardinal Softball and Cardinal Baseball!


  • On Monday, April 21, Lady Cardinal Softball will celebrate Senior Night! This game against DeQueen has been rescheduled from Friday, April 25. Senior Night will take place between the varsity and JV games. Senior families, please arrive by 6:00 PM.

  • On Friday, Cardinal Baseball will celebrate Senior Night! The Cardinals will take on DeQueen in varsity and JV games, with varsity beginning at 5:00 PM.

CFHS 2025-26 Athletic Physicals are this Wednesday, April 23!

All current CFHS students who are interested in playing sports next school year will need a current athletic physical before tryouts or practice. Cardinal Athletics is hosting free athletic physicals on Wednesday, April 23, from 1:15 until 5:00 PM in the CFHS Multipurpose Building. 

Please send the completed AAA Physical Form with your student to their physical. Copies are also available from coaches and on the Cardinal Athletics webpage.

Please be prepared to pick up your student after school; we can't guarantee that students will be finished in time to ride buses or be in the car line for regular dismissal. Thank you!

CFMS athletic physicals will be held on Wednesday, April 30, in the CFMS Gym! More info soon.

UPDATE! 2025-2026 Varsity Basketball Tryout Info:

Girls Varsity Basketball Tryouts are rescheduled to Wednesday, April 30, in the CFHS Gym from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. See Coach Frazier for more information.

All students must have a current physical to try out.

Attendance Matters!

At Camden Fairview, we believe that #AttendanceMatters and that absences are lost opportunities to learn in the classroom. Let's start the year off right - at school every day possible! Some absences are unavoidable, but it’s important that students are at school from bell-to-bell as often as possible.

Regular attendance is often an indicator of higher academic performance. Students who are at #SchoolEveryDay also do better academically in middle school and are more likely to graduate high school.

CFHS College and Career Signing Day is tomorrow, April 21!

Join us at the 4th Annual CFHS College and Career Signing Day on Monday, April 21, at 9AM in the CFHS Gym! We're celebrating the next steps toward success for the Camden Fairview Class of 2025 by honoring seniors who have secured admission to colleges, trade schools, apprenticeships, or committed to serve in the military!

Reminder for Seniors: Senior families are hosting the Senior Picnic on Monday! It will take place on the football field following the College and Career Signing Day!

The Pride of Arkansas Presents: Jazz Night on April 30

Join us for Jazz Night on April 30 at 6:00 PM in the CFMS Auditorium to enjoy performances from the CFHS Jazz Band and Woodwind Choir!

This week is a regular dismissal Wednesday.

During the 2024-2025 school year, only the first and third Wednesdays of each month will be 1-Hour Early Out Wednesdays.

The remaining Early Out Wednesday dates for the year are:
  • May 7
  • May 21

All Wednesdays not listed above will be regular dismissal times.

ATLAS Testing Dates:

It's ATLAS testing week for Ivory Intermediate and CFMS students! Both schools will be testing from April 21 through April 24, with make-up day set for April 25. Second-graders at FES will also have their end-of-year screeners on April 21 and April 22.

We want every student motivated, engaged, and encouraged to do their best during testing! You can support your child by making sure on test days they know to:

1. Be here.
2. Be on time.
3. Stay focused.
4. Work hard the entire time.

Please also make sure your student:
  • gets plenty of sleep the night before the test
  • has breakfast on the morning of the test
  • is at school by 7:55AM on test days
  • does not have any out-of-school appointments on test days
  • knows you think they will do well on their tests

​​Important reminders for all CFSD events ​ ​

All students are expected to be on their best behavior and follow all school policies, including the dress code, while attending school events. Students will be banned from after school activities if they are involved in any fights, disrespectful towards administration or any school personnel, or if any prohibited items are found on them or in their vehicles during an event.

6-12 grade students will have 20 minutes after school activities end to leave campus. Students should notify parents ahead of time to let them know what time the activity will end. Announcements are made prior to the activity ending to remind students to contact parents.

We appreciate your support and look forward to cheering on all Cardinal student-athletes together!

Freshmen, sophomores, and any students taking algebra, geometry, or biology: remember to do your best and earn your CARDS Exit Ticket to the Fun Day!

CARDS Exit Ticket:
  • Consistently Working – Computer/ Teacher must not receive an alert that the student is not working.
  • All 4 days in attendance and on time!
  • Ready to work - No sleeping or heads down during testing.
  • Determined – No disciplinary incidents during testing.
  • Students must write at least 5 sentences per paragraph.

Community Service Opportunity: Silver Oaks Nursing Home is offering community service hours on April 18 from 12:45 to 3:00 PM. Contact Brooke Garner at 870-836-9095 for more information.

Students: If you are interested in attending the Arkansas State Supreme Court’s Appeals on Wheels event on Thursday, April 24, in Magnolia, please see Mrs. Merriott. A Google Form has also been sent out to all students via email. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, April 17.

Service Club Meetings: Beta Club will meet on Tuesday, April 15.

CFHS Concert Choir and CFHS Madrigals Earn Superior Ratings at State

Camden Fairview Concert Choir and Camden Fairview Madrigals both received Superior ratings at the ACDA State Festival yesterday! We are so proud of these students and Choir Director Andrey Wright! They’ve all worked Incredibly hard and are so deserving of this achievement. And a big thank you to retired choir director Cynthia Outlaw for her unending support of CFHS Choir!

Mr. Wright said it best: “What a day for the Camden Fairview High School Concert Choir and Madrigals! I am beyond proud to share that both groups received SUPERIOR ratings at the State Festival! This achievement is more than just numbers on a score sheet—it’s a reflection of their dedication, talent, perseverance, and heart.

Music is more than sound—it’s a way to connect, to express, and to rise above. These students have faced challenges, grown as individuals and as a choir, and poured their souls into every note. Through every rehearsal, every moment of doubt, and every triumph, they never gave up.

To see them succeed on this level is incredibly moving—and I am so grateful to be their teacher. Watching their journey unfold has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

Thank you to our families, our school, and our amazing community for the unwavering support you give these students and the arts. Your belief in them makes all the difference.

CFHS FBLA Earns State Recognition

CFHS FBLA competed in the Arkansas FBLA State Leadership Competition. Congratulations to the following students who placed in the Top 4 and qualified for the National FBLA competition, which will be held this summer in Anaheim, California!

  • Lily Mayweather: Introduction to Business Concepts – 1st place
  • Jakayla Ingram: Computer Applications – 1st place
  • Kiaree Davis: Word Processing – 3rd place

CFHS FBLA sponsor LaSonya Clary said, “Congratulations to these top qualifiers in the state of Arkansas, as well as all who competed. CFHS FCCLA Earns Top Honors at State

At last week's State Leadership Conference, Camden Fairview FCCLA students competed against students from across Arkansas and earned awards in the following Star Events:

  • WaNiyah Franklin, Jakyla French, and Kanzyaria Porchia: Interior Design - 2nd Place

  • Raylee Kricher and Silvio Irion: Event Management - 2nd Place

CFHS educator Amanda James said, “I'm so proud to be their advisor and beyond proud of all they have accomplished!” Congratulations to WaNiyah, Jakyla, Kanzyaria, Raylee, Silvio, and Mrs. James!

Congratulations to CFHS Senior Fisher Keown! He recently participated in the South Central Service Cooperative's AWS Welding Event and earned his AWS certification. This certification coincides with high wage, high demand career opportunities and earns him a Merit Distinction.

Attendance Matters!

At Camden Fairview, we believe that #AttendanceMatters and that absences are lost opportunities to learn in the classroom. Let's start the year off right - at school every day possible! Some absences are unavoidable, but it’s important that students are at school from bell-to-bell as often as possible.

Regular attendance is often an indicator of higher academic performance. Students who are at #SchoolEveryDay also do better academically in middle school and are more likely to graduate high school.

CFHS FCCLA Earns Top Honors at State Leadership Competition

At last week's State Leadership Conference, Camden Fairview FCCLA students competed against students from across Arkansas and earned awards in the following Star Events:

  • WaNiyah Franklin, Jakyla French, and Kanzyaria Porchia: Interior Design - 2nd Place
  • Raylee Kricher and Silvio Irion: Event Management - 2nd Place

CFHS educator Amanda James said, “I'm so proud to be their advisor and beyond proud of all they have accomplished!” Congratulations to WaNiyah, Jakyla, Kanzyaria, Raylee, Silvio, and Mrs. James!

CFHS FBLA Earns Top Honors at State Leadership Competition

CFHS FBLA competed in the Arkansas FBLA State Leadership Competition. Congratulations to the following students who placed in the Top 4 and qualified for the National FBLA competition, which will be held this summer in Anaheim, California!

  • Lily Mayweather: Introduction to Business Concepts – 1st place
  • Jakayla Ingram: Computer Applications – 1st place

Join us on April 16 at 6:00 PM in the CFMS Auditorium for an evening of music presented by CFMS musicians! They will perform solos and group ensembles.

Cardinal Track - Schedule Changes This Week

  • On Tuesday, Jr. High Cardinal Track will travel to Magnolia for the rescheduled Panther Relays.

  • On Thursday, Varsity Cardinal Track will travel to Monticello.

​​Important reminders for all CFSD events ​ ​

All students are expected to be on their best behavior and follow all school policies, including the dress code, while attending school events. Students will be banned from after school activities if they are involved in any fights, disrespectful towards administration or any school personnel, or if any prohibited items are found on them or in their vehicles during an event.

6-12 grade students will have 20 minutes after school activities end to leave campus. Students should notify parents ahead of time to let them know what time the activity will end. Announcements are made prior to the activity ending to remind students to contact parents.

We appreciate your support and look forward to cheering on all Cardinal student-athletes together!

CFHS Concert Choir and CFHS Madrigals Earn Superior Ratings at State

Camden Fairview Concert Choir and Camden Fairview Madrigals both received Superior ratings at the ACDA State Festival yesterday! We are so proud of these students and Choir Director Andrey Wright! They’ve all worked Incredibly hard and are so deserving of this achievement. And a big thank you to retired choir director Cynthia Outlaw for her unending support of CFHS Choir!

🎶 Mr. Wright said it best:

“What a day for the Camden Fairview High School Concert Choir and Madrigals!

I am beyond proud to share that both groups received SUPERIOR ratings at the State Festival! This achievement is more than just numbers on a score sheet—it’s a reflection of their dedication, talent, perseverance, and heart.

Music is more than sound—it’s a way to connect, to express, and to rise above. These students have faced challenges, grown as individuals and as a choir, and poured their souls into every note. Through every rehearsal, every moment of doubt, and every triumph, they never gave up.

To see them succeed on this level is incredibly moving—and I am so grateful to be their teacher. Watching their journey unfold has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

Thank you to our families, our school, and our amazing community for the unwavering support you give these students and the arts. Your belief in them makes all the difference.

CFHS Announces Boys and Girls State 2025

We are proud to announce the Camden Fairview juniors who were nominated and selected to attend Girls State and Boys State this summer. Arkansas Girls State and Boys State are immersive civics education programs designed for students who have completed their junior year of high school. For decades, these programs have been teaching young Arkansans to be actively involved in their communities and government at every level. Congratulations to these students:

CFHS Girls State: Neveah McKenzie, Zia’Meyere Pace-Page, Khyrianna Watson, Aria Watson-Ferguson, Leia Freeman, Na’Kedrialynne Malone, and Nakira Henry.

CFHS Boys State:  Layton Edwards, Herman Gill, Charles Lewis, Taylor Davis Scaife, Rodney Frazier, and Ty’Shawn Davis.

Each delegate is assigned a place in a mock political party, city, or county government. During the weeklong program, delegates hold nominations and elections for various roles within their mock government. This experience provides delegates with practical instruction on the duties and responsibilities of both citizens and public officials.

The 2025 Senior Brochure is available now!

We know April and May bring a lot of important events and information for CFHS seniors and their families. Check out the Senior Brochure to stay informed of important dates and information leading up to graduation, as well as expectations for senior activities. 

Cardinal Academy Focus Days:

Mondays and Tuesdays:
  • 9th and 10th grades: math in IXL
  • 11th and 12th grades: ACT Prep in IXL

Wednesdays:

Thursdays and Fridays:
  • 9th and 10th grades: English in IXL
  • 11th and 12th grades: ACT Prep in IXL
 

Announcements:

We increased our attendance rate by two points last week, moving up to 93%. Let's meet our goal of 95% attendance this week! Check your attendance and grades on HAC!

The National Honor Society will host an Induction Ceremony for new inductees on Wednesday, April 16, during 5th Period (12:08 PM - 12:51 PM) in the Little Theater. Inductees are encouraged to attend with their guests.

UCA Tour for Seniors: If you are interested in a college tour at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, please see Mrs. Burks in the Counseling Center for a permission slip. The first 20 students who return their permission slips will be allowed to attend - no exceptions!

Be a part of CFHS Choir! Students who are interested in joining the choir, please see Mr. Wright by April 11.

Service Club Meetings: Key Club will meet on Thursday, April 10. Beta Club will meet on Tuesday, April 15.

Prom Tickets. Tickets for the May 3 Senior/Junior Prom go on sale starting Monday, April 7. Tickets are $25 each. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Merriott before school, between classes, and after school. The deadline to purchase a ticket is Friday, May 2.

Prom Guests. Any junior or senior planning to bring a guest to prom who is not a current CFHS student must complete an outside guest form and receive approval before purchasing a ticket for the guest. Forms are available in the front office and from Mrs. Merriott. Completed forms should be returned to Mrs. Merriott.

Prom Work Day: There is a Prom Work Day this Wednesday, April 9, from 3:30-5:00 PM in Mrs. Delorme’s room.

After Prom Fundraiser: Seniors will be emailed a copy of the After Prom fundraiser form today. It must be returned along with money collected by April 14 to Mrs. Burton in the 9th grade office.

The P7 Club will meet on Friday, April 11, from 3:30-4:30 PM.

Attention faculty and students: it's time for the annual “Cards Got Talent” talent show! This year, the talent show will be open to faculty and students. If you want to display your talent, please come to Ms. Clary’s classroom between classes to sign up from March 31 to April 4. Auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, April 7 and 8, at 3:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Please be prepared to audition on one of those days. Talents may include:
  • singing
  • dancing
  • playing an instrument
  • telling jokes
  • magic tricks
  • lip syncing 
The talent show will be held on Friday, April 11, during Cardinal Academy. The cost will be $3. You do not want to miss this event!

Diamond Dancer Tryouts are this week!

Diamond Dancers:
  • Diamond Dancer Clinic will be April 7 - 11 from 4:00-5:30 in the Multipurpose Building.
  • Diamond Dancer tryouts will be April 12 at 8:00 AM in the Multi.

All participants must have a current physical to try out. 

2025-2026 Varsity Basketball Tryout Info:

Boys Varsity Basketball Tryouts were rescheduled to Friday, April 11, from 3:30-5:30 PM in the CFHS Gym. See Coach Jackson or Coach Tanner for more information.

Girls Varsity Basketball Tryouts will be in the CFHS Gym on Tuesday, April 29, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. See Coach Frazier for more information.

All students must have a current physical to try out.

2025 Tennis Tryout Info:

Tennis tryouts for grades 9 -12 will be held on Thursday, April 24, from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at the Camden Fairview Middle School tennis courts.

Cardinal Athletics:

Join us this Thursday for the 55th Annual Cardinal Relays!

It's time to show up and support the student-athletes who have been working hard in our track and field events! On Thursday, we will host the 55th Annual Varsity Cardinal Relays. Teams will set up in the home bleachers.

Fans and parents, please enter through the homeside entry gate before sitting in the visitor bleachers. There will also be a concession stand open on the visitor side. 

Admission is $6 and the clear bag policy is in effect. Come out and show your support!
