Cardinal Athletics:

Reminders for All Cardinal Athletic Events:

Admission is $6 for all home athletic events. Athletic Passes are available for sale at Central Office (625 Clifton Street). All CFSD employees have free entry with their district ID badge.

Clear Bag Policy. Camden Fairview School District has implemented a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums, gymnasiums and other athletic fields.* Prohibited items include but are not limited to purses larger than a 4.5” x 6.5” clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, grocery bags, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, and camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size. For more information, view the full CLEAR BAG POLICY.

Food & Drink. No outside food or drink (including tumblers) permitted.

No Pets. Only registered service animals are allowed.

Student Conduct. K-5 grade students must be supervised by an adult at all CFSD athletic events. All students, home and visiting, are expected to be on their best behavior while attending any school event. Students will be removed from events if they are involved in any fights, act disrespectfully toward administrators or other school personnel, or if any prohibited items are found on them or in their vehicle. All students must be picked up within 20 minutes of the end of any event

Important Information for Today’s Game at DeQueen

🏈 GAME DAY. It’s Game Day for Cardinal Football! Fans traveling to DeQueen, check below for important information shared by DeQueen School District.


🏟️ STADIUM INFO & DIRECTIONS. Leopard Stadium, DeQueen School District. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.


🎟️ TICKETS. Admission is $5.

 

🚗PARKING. There is no fee for parking. We will share any parking map and additional information we receive from DeQueen.


ℹ️ EVENT GUIDELINES.  No outside food or drink. Animals are not allowed. All bags/backpacks may be subject to search.

🍂 It’s time for Fall Break, Cardinals! ❤️🤍There will be no school for students October 13–17 as they enjoy Fall Break.


Teachers will have Fall Break October 13–16 and will participate in a Professional Development Day on Friday, October 17.


Cardinal Athletics will have several games this week:


Monday, October 13: 

  • Varsity Volleyball vs. LR Hall | Senior Night | CFHS Gym. Senior ceremony begins at 5PM.   
  • 7th Grade Football vs. Hope | Cardinal Stadium* | 5:30 PM (Players should report to the CFMS Gym by 4PM.) 

Thursday, October 16: 

  • Varsity Volleyball @ Waldron | 4PM
  • 8th & 9th Grade Football vs. DeQueen | Cardinal Stadium* | 5:30PM & 7PM (Players should report to the CFHS Field House by 3PM.)

Friday, October 17:

Important Information for Friday’s Home Game at Cardinal Stadium

Cardinal and Panther fans — we can’t wait to see you tonight at Cardinal Stadium! To help everyone enjoy the game, please review the following important information before you arrive:

🎟️ Admission

  • Admission is $6 for all athletic events. Cash only at the gate.
  • Cardinal Athletic passes and AAA passes accepted.
  • CFSD employees - show your staff ID badge for free entry. 

🏟️ Stadium Information

  • Visiting fans should enter Cardinal Stadium from California Avenue, using the Baseball/Visitor Parking Entrance.
  • Visitor parking is available from the baseball lot to the grass field behind the visitor stands.
  • Visitors should only use the Visitor Gate to enter the stadium.
  • Cardinal fans, enter through either of the two Home Gates.

🎒 Clear Bag Policy

  • Camden Fairview School District enforces a Clear Bag Policy at all athletic venues.
  • Only clear bags up to 12” x 6” x 12” or small clutches up to 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed.
  • Prohibited bags include purses, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags, coolers, briefcases, camera bags, and any oversized bags.

  • Students must be picked up within 20 minutes of the end of the game.

Examples include:

  • Backpacks, laptop bags, diaper bags, large purses
  • Weapons, laser pointers, offensive clothing
  • Pets (except registered service animals)

📌 Post-Game

The Cardinals will remain on the field after the handshake line for the after-game address from Coach Vaughn. Cardinal families and friends, please wait at the 50-yard line gate to enter the field. The gate will be opened once the visiting team has left the field and Coach Vaughn is finished addressing the Cardinals. Families should also leave the field through the 50-yard line gate and then exit through the stadium gates. There will be no access to the field house area.

The visiting team will leave the field after the handshake line and go to the visitor locker room. Visiting team families may see their players by the CFHS Multipurpose Building roll-top door.

Announcements:

This Week is a 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday!
On Wednesday, all Camden Fairview schools will dismiss one hour early to allow teachers additional time for professional development and collaboration.

It's almost time for Fall Break! There will be no school for students from October 13 - 17 as they enjoy Fall Break. We do have several athletic events on the calendar, so coaches will be sharing practice and game information with their teams soon.

Camden Fairview High School School Picture Day Info:
  • Fall Makeup: October 27, 2025
  • Senior Makeup: October 27, 2025

Community Service Opportunities:
  • The Camden Clean Up event will be held on Saturday, October 11, from 9AM to 2PM at Thrive Church. This is an excellent opportunity for Community Service Hours and to win another trophy for CFHS!
  • The Camden Noon Lions Club Distinguished Service Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, October 21, starting at 5:30 PM in the Event Center at Fair Park. This too is another excellent opportunity for Community Service Hours.

The PSAT/NMSQT will be given on October 23, 2025 to interested Juniors or Sophomores.

The CFHS Student Council will host a blood drive October 21 in the Little Theater. Anyone 16 or older who would like to donate should sign up with Mrs. H. James in Room 115.

CFHS Student Council will meet this Friday, October 10, during Cardinal Academy.

CFHS students and faculty - get ready for the 4th Annual CFHS Great Pumpkin Contest! Entries must be submitted in the CFHS Library by October 24. One entry per student, and one entry per teacher. Pre-purchased, pre-decorated pumpkins will not be eligible for entry. Prizes will be awarded to each group. See Mrs. Delorme for more information.

CFHS will host the ACT Test on Saturday, October 18, 2025! Registered students need to arrive by 8:00 AM. Pencils and calculators will be provided.

Attendance Matters — Every Day Counts! Attendance Calls Start This Week.

Dear Cardinal Families:

Research shows a strong connection between student attendance and academic achievement, and it starts early - even in preschool and kindergarten. When students attend school regularly, they build stronger learning habits, develop friendships, and stay connected to their teachers and classmates.

Thank you for helping your child show up every day possible to keep learning and engaged! We truly appreciate your partnership and commitment to our school community.

This year, we’re working to build an even stronger home-school partnership to support student attendance. This week, Camden Fairview will begin testing ParentSquare’s attendance notification feature.

Here’s what you can expect:
  • Families will receive an automatic alert when a student is marked absent.
  • Notifications will be sent by text, email, or phone call at the end of each day a student is absent.
  • You’ll also receive an invitation to activate your ParentSquare account if you haven’t already.

As long as your student is healthy, please encourage them to attend school every day that classes are in session. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn, connect, and grow.

If you ever have questions or concerns about your child’s attendance, please reach out to your school’s principal or counselor - we’re here to help! Thank you for supporting your child and Camden Fairview.

This is the final call for any 9–12 grade students who want to play softball this season.

K-5 Parent-Teacher Conferences are Tuesday and Thursday!

K-5 Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this Tuesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 9, from 3:30-6:30 PM.

All families are invited to use the ParentSquare sign-up feature or contact your child's teacher to schedule a 15-minute conference to hear about your child's growth and how you can help support their learning at home. We can't wait to see you!

It's time for Mini Cheer Week!

Hosted by CFHS Varsity Cheer!

 What to Know:
  • Each participant must have transportation to and from camp.
  • Please be mindful of pickup times and arrive promptly.
  • Students must wear tennis shoes, bring water, and have a positive attitude.
  • A parent/guardian must sign the permission/waiver form.
  • Parents must drop off: this is a closed camp so mini cheerleaders can focus and learn without distractions.

Performance:
  • Participants will perform Friday, October 10, 2025 before the Camden Fairview Varsity Football game vs. Magnolia.
  • Exact arrival and performance times will be announced during camp week.

The CFMS Flu Clinic is happening this week!

Upcoming Flu Clinic:

Please bring cleats or tennis shoes, a glove, and athletic clothes. All players must attend - even those who already tried out.

Reminders for All Cardinal Athletic Events:

Admission is $6 for all home athletic events. Athletic Passes are available for sale at Central Office (625 Clifton Street). All CFSD employees have free entry with their district ID badge.

Clear Bag Policy. Camden Fairview School District has implemented a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums, gymnasiums and other athletic fields.* Prohibited items include but are not limited to purses larger than a 4.5” x 6.5” clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, grocery bags, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, and camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size. Food & Drink. No outside food or drink (including tumblers) permitted.

No Pets. Only registered service animals are allowed.

Student Conduct. K-5 grade students must be supervised by an adult at all CFSD athletic events. All students, home and visiting, are expected to be on their best behavior while attending any school event. Students will be removed from events if they are involved in any fights, act disrespectfully toward administrators or other school personnel, or if any prohibited items are found on them or in their vehicle. All students must be picked up within 20 minutes of the end of any event

Transportation Update — Giraffe Bus

This afternoon, the Giraffe Bus had smoke coming from under the bus during its afternoon route. The driver immediately stopped the bus, evacuated students to a safe area, and contacted the CFSD Transportation Department. A replacement bus arrived, and students reloaded safely to continue home.

The regular Giraffe route finished on approximately a 15-20 minute delay. There were no injuries.

Our mechanics will inspect the bus and make any necessary repairs before it is cleared to return to service.

✨ Coronation – 12:30 p.m. in the CFHS Gym

• Visitors should enter through the South Gym Entrance

• Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium

CFMS Update #5

Dear Camden Fairview Families:

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our highest priority. At a September 30 special board meeting, student expulsion hearings were held and Interim Superintendent Tara Armstrong shared a series of district-wide safety enhancements, including clear/mesh backpacks at CFHS and CFMS, additional CFMS staff at arrival, updated crisis response training, additional security and weapon detection equipment, and the launch of an improved anonymous tip line.

At the October 21 regular board meeting, the Board will consider a proposed recommendation to require that all students at CFHS and CFMS use a clear or mesh backpack during the school day. This change will help staff conduct more efficient and thorough backpack checks each morning. Exceptions will be allowed for athletic bags and small purses, with guidelines to balance convenience and safety. To support families and ease the transition, the district will purchase and provide one clear or mesh backpack for every secondary student. The Board will vote on the proposal October 21, and if approved, it will go into effect the following Monday.

We know families may still have questions. While some details cannot be shared because of privacy and safety protocols, we are committed to being as transparent as possible. If you have a question, please submit it using the CFSD Safety Procedures – Questions Form. District leaders will review all questions and provide as much information as possible.

Mrs. Armstrong and other administrators have also spoken with many families over the past week and welcome any CFSD family to call the Central Office or set up a time to meet in person.
