Important Dates:

  • February 11: 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday
  • February 16: No School - Presidents Day

One Good Thing:

Shoutout to Ms. Rogers' Students!

In Ms. Rogers’ Biology and Pre-AP Biology classes before the winter storm, students wrapped up their study of mutations with hands-on learning and heart. Pre-AP students completed a strawberry and banana DNA extraction lab, bringing science to life through real-world application. Across all classes, students also took a moment to “plant a word of kindness” as they left class - ending the week by connecting learning with empathy and positivity.

This is CFHS learning at its best: engaging minds, building skills, and supporting one another every day.

This week, we are proud to celebrate Counselor Appreciation Week.  We continue to recognize our two counselors: Ms. Darla Stivers and Mrs. Tavitha Wooten. Counselors have made a difference in countless lives - whether through encouragement, guidance, or simply being there when it mattered most. Take a moment today to thank a counselor. Their impact goes far beyond what we see - this week, let's make our appreciation visible!

The CKH Leadworthy Word of the month is Kindness. Kindness is choosing to treat others with respect, care, and understanding - even when no one is watching. Kindness looks like helping others, using positive words, and showing patience. At CFHS, kindness creates a safe and supportive place for everyone to learn. Let’s show kindness in our classrooms, hallways, and online today.
